Summary Statement
The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) shall provide service recipients and provider organizations with the opportunity to appeal administrative decisions.
Requirements
The AAA shall provide the opportunity to appeal administrative decisions as follows:
Provider Contracts
AAAs shall establish and publish the process by which any organization denied an AAA contract through a competitive bidding process may appeal the decision.
Recipients of Service
AAAs providing direct services, or their contract providers, shall develop and publish the process by which opportunity for a hearing is accorded any individual who is denied or terminated from service, or who wishes to contest a reduction in service levels.
