Summary Statement
The At-Risk Adult Relocation Team (AART) facilitates coordination with local, state, federal and private agencies to improve emergency response to at-risk adult abuse victims during law enforcement or regulatory lead operations.
Basic Considerations
AART shall develop and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations with resources, services, and/or interests in the response to the relocation of at-risk adult abuse victims. The collaborations listed below are not an inclusive list.
GBI At-Risk Adult Abuse Working Group
The AART coordinator will collaborate with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) as a member of the At-Risk Adult Abuse Working Group comprised primarily of federal, state and local criminal justice and social service agencies.
At-Risk Adult Multi-Departmental Team
The AART coordinator will participate in the Division of Aging Services’ (DAS) At-Risk Adult Abuse Multi-Departmental Team comprised of state and private non-law enforcement agencies.
Area Agencies on Aging
The AART coordinator will provide updates to the state Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) Advisory Council and other pertinent entities to ensure consistent messaging and information to regional service areas.
