Summary Statement

The Program Integrity (PI) section provides quality assurance, data analysis, and research and evaluation for the Division of Aging Services (DAS) and the Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs). PI works with DAS units in developing performance measures, data integrity issues, and the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of program modules in the DAS Data System (DDS). Operational performance is evaluated through data collection and analysis resulting from collaboration between the DAS and AAA staff.

Basic Considerations

The Program Integrity section provides the following:

  • OAAPS Reporting

  • Quality Assurance

  • Data Analysis

  • Research and Evaluation

  • DAS Data System Administration

  • Marketing Administration

The following activities are the responsibility of the PI Section:

  • Lead DHS Strategic Planning activities for the Division

  • Lead the Division’s Strategic Planning initiatives

  • Leads the Division’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts

  • Compile the four year State Plan for the Administration for Community Living

  • Compile Division of Aging Services statutorily mandated annual report per O.C.G.A.§49-6-6.

  • Compile Census factors and subsequent estimates for Intrastate Funding Formula

  • Compile Division data for the Administration for Community Living’s Older Americans Act Performance System (OAAPS)

  • Compile Measurement and Analysis Plan (MAPs) data for programmatic review

  • Convene focus groups as needed for quality assessment

  • Compile sample extract for National Core Indicators Aging and Disability survey and conduct analysis of responses

  • Upload Division data to the DAS website

  • Compile a monthly planning calendar identifying various aging related meetings and conferences

  • Archive policy statements (Program Instructions/Procedural Issuances) for the Division

  • Provide maintenance and enhancements to the DAS Data System

  • Lead marketing planning efforts for DAS
