Initial Registration Guide

Browse to the Gitlab Account Sign Up Page

Follow the steps below along with the annotated image:

  1. Enter your First Name and Last Name in the fields.

  2. Enter your Username in the username field.

  3. Enter your DHS Email in the email field.

  4. Create a Password in the password field. (Any password of your choosing, OKTA will be used to authenticate you with SSO later)

  5. Click Continue

  6. You may be prompted to verify your email address. Check you DHS email for the code to verify and click next.

    1. You may also be asked to validate a phone number and/or a credit card with recent changes to GitLab registration standards.

  7. You may be prompted to define your reason for using GitLab and your role. Use other as in the below screenshot.

The Role here will have no impact on your role for PAMMS. It is for internal tracking for GitLab and not related to PAMMS.
