Installing IntelliJ IDEA

  1. Open the folder where the IntelliJ installation file has been downloaded to and double-click the installation file to open and start the install process.

  2. You will be presented with a dialog box to begin the installation followed by prompts asking where to install IntelliJ IDEA and the file types to associate. You can leave all the options as default.

    If at any point you are prompted for Admin credentials - hit Cancel and continue.

  3. Hit Next after each prompt and you will be presented with a progress bar

  4. Once the installation is complete – check the Run IntelliJ box and click Finish.
