The Georgia Department of Human Services is to collect all funds owed to it by other state of Georgia agencies, individuals, or other parties within the state fiscal year.

This policy is applicable to all Georgia Department of Human Services divisions and offices.

Responsibilities

The Director of the Office of Human Services (OFS) is responsible for issuing and updating procedures to implement this policy.

Each division and office under the direction of DHS is responsible for complying with the procedures related to this policy.
History

This policy replaces the Department of Human Services policy POL1219 effective 7/10/2007.

This policy replaces the Department of Human Resources Administrative Policy and Procedures Manual, Part VIII.C.7.
Evaluation
The effectiveness of this policy is evaluated by the Georgia Department of Audits and the Office of Financial Services during the annual state fiscal year audit.
