1480 Selection of Design, Engineering and Survey Professionals

The policy of the Department of Human Services is to select Architects, Engineers, Land Surveyors, Consultants and Landscape Architects for professional services on the basis of public announcement and/or notification of requirements for such services and to conduct an objective review on the qualifications of each candidate responding to such announcement or notification.

The Official Code of Georgia Annotated, Chapter 50-22-1 thru 50-22-9 is the legal basis for the selection of professional services by the State.

O.C.G.A., Chapter 43-15-1 through 43-15-30, Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors
O.C.G.A., Chapter 43-19-1 through 43-19-27, Geologists

This policy will apply to the selection of all Design, Engineering and Survey Professionals by the Department of Human Services.
