Table D.1 establishes the minimum number of new resources each Area Agency on Aging (AAA) must add annually to the Division of Aging Services (DAS) Resource Database (RDB).

Target Calculation

Minimum targets are calculated as: Population age 60+ × 0.010% (0.0001)

Population estimates are based on the most recent Georgia census data for individuals aged 60 and older and are updated annually.

  • Population figures are based on the American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year estimates (2020–2024) from the United States Census Bureau’s Application Programming Interface (API) for Calendar Year 2026 (CY2026).

  • Targets will be recalculated annually using updated population data.

  • Any changes to data sources or methodology will be communicated through policy updates.

  • AAAs are encouraged to exceed minimum targets based on community needs, service gaps, and outreach efforts.
